1. If you want to stay in the proverbial student bubble for your whole degree, think about a part-time student job in a place filled with students -- pubs! Rather than sulking, why not get everyone to gather for pre-drinks there? So you see all your friends, before they finally clear off to go partying, and you get paid to pull pints and socialise with them.

These places are an absolute hive of student activity and great places to find part-time student jobs. Leeds cafe, La Caferiere has a lovely laid back and intimate atmosphere, working there means your bound to see somebody you know! Whereas LS6 serves amazing food and is great for small group catch ups. It is well known and well loved by Leeds students, the staff and customers get on like a big happy LS6 family!

3. Many Leeds students live in and around Hyde Park, and when they can't be bothered to go to town, the Sainsbury's on Brudenell Road is a great place to pick up some nice expensive bread and milk. Working in this branch means you see everybody you know all the time, and can have chats at the cash desk. It's always a busy shop so you always meet people, and you can laugh at the hungover student wearing their pyjamas.

4. A part-time job in a club is fantastic for seeing friends, and having a mini bop behind the bar, but particularly for meeting new, attractive people who want drinks! This gives ample opportunity to exercise flirting skills and, fingers crossed, get the number of the cute person who likes to drink vodka red-bulls. Plus, if you're working a shift the night your friends go out, you can gently steer them towards joining you where you work, so you can do a bit of spying on who's sneaking off with the hottie at the end of the night!

5. Contact the Leeds Student Union. Did you know they post lots of part time job listings in the union building? There's part time jobs listed there for just about every type you could think of. You can also access their web site which is full of many opportunities.
